There are a lot of virtual assistant agencies out there. Most of them will tell you they offer skilled VAs at competitive rates. What they won't tell you is what happens to those VAs between jobs, whether their wellbeing is considered, or whether any part of your monthly fee finds its way back to the communities those people come from.
We built Socially Empowered VA because we wanted something different.
Two founders. Two countries. One shared vision.
SEVA was founded by two co-founders with a combined decade of experience running community-led businesses and sitting on the boards of impact-driven organisations. One of us is based on the Gold Coast. The other is on the ground in the Philippines. We came together through a shared love for purpose, people, and practical systems, and we built this agency to solve a problem we kept watching play out in the businesses around us.
Visionary founders, coaches, consultants, and operators who were doing genuinely important work, but couldn't get out of the backend long enough to lead. Buried in admin, drowning in the day-to-day, unable to scale because everything still ran through them.
They didn't need a productivity hack. They needed a person.
Why Filipino VAs? Why now?
The Philippines has long been recognised as one of the world's top sources of skilled remote talent. Filipinos are culturally aligned with Australian work values: they are detail-oriented, warm communicators, loyal, and highly adaptable. English is widely spoken. Time zones are workable. And the talent pool is deep.
But what makes our VAs different isn't just where they're from. It's how we train them.
Every SEVA virtual assistant is trained not only in the core skills your business needs, from admin and operations to CRM management, content scheduling, and customer support, but also in working alongside AI tools. That means they bring genuine human judgement and modern efficiency to your business at the same time. They're not fighting the technology. They're working with it.
Growth that gives back.
One of the things we're most proud of at SEVA is that growth and impact move in the same direction here. Every placement we make includes a monthly donation to a local community initiative in the Philippines. From Angat Buhay to Casa Esperanza of Angels, the organisations we support are doing vital work with orphaned and at-risk children, families in poverty, and communities rebuilding from hardship.
When you hire a VA through SEVA, you're not just freeing up your time. You're funding something bigger.
We're also a little different in how we show up.
We're inclusive. Neurodivergent friendly. We genuinely want to see you succeed, and we've built our processes to make delegation as easy and human as possible. Our onboarding is thorough, our check-ins are regular, and our replacements are covered if the fit isn't right.
We believe building a better world starts behind the scenes.
If you've been wondering whether now is the right time to get support, it is. And we'd love to be that support for you.
